In May of 2016, Willow Star was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer at the young age of 46. Her life was instantly flipped upside down. The doctors said she had about two years to live. Willow had no idea where to start or how to navigate the doctors and the medical system. Let alone know all of the options that are actually available. She wondered about complementary therapies and if they could work for her. It quickly became a stressful full-time job learning how to truly heal.

With the help of her community and relentless dedication to figuring it all out, Willow explored a vast array of healing modalities that she had no idea even existed. Willow has learned so much about healing cancer and saw the dire need for a centralized hub of information and resources that could help others on their healing journey. Eight and a half years later Willow is tumor free and living the best life ever. This was the inspiration for Branches of Hope Healing Haven.
